Your Pelvic Floor In Menopause
Menopause is a time of transition and with the right knowledge and awareness, you can support your pelvic floor through this evolution and regain and/or maintain your pelvic vitality!
Peri-menopause is described as the years when the transition to menopause begins. It can be a 5-10 year cycle or even longer for some.
Menopause is the one day that marks one full year without a period.
Post-menopause is the time after the full year of no menstruation.
Starting in peri-menopause, fluctuations in hormones can influence the pelvic floor and its moisture, sensation, and function. Being aware of these changes and being proactive is key. I recommend working with a menopause practitioner and/or a naturopathic doctor to keep your hormone levels in check.
Movement is key to maintain a happy pelvic floor for life. The Kegel Mojo program (coming soon) gives you the tools to use at every stage to ensure your pelvic floor rocks!
In person work is always beneficial, even just one session, to gain a better understanding of how you can hold your body and move your body in ways that optimize your pelvic health!
